Calling all Female Founders and aspiring ones to join us and meet other tech, innovative, creative & disruptive women around Algarve!
We will start the day featuring a special guest – Ana Teresa Maia, CEO and co-founder of expressTEC, who will share her story as female founder in the Health-Tech industry. Everyone will have the opportunity to present themselves + share their current projects or future ones! Then we will enjoy our breakfast & deeper conversations around achivements, challenges and finding opportunities to support and collaborate.
Outsite Vilamoura will kindly host us for this event. They recently opened their second co-living in Algarve!

About Ana-Teresa Maia:
PhD in Human Genetics and Executive MBA, is the CEO and co-founder of expressTEC, a pioneering startup in health-tech. Over the past year, she helped expressTEC secure considerable investment, public grants, and awards, including the prestigious WomenTech EU in 2023 and the Santander X Global Award in 2024. A patent inventor and experienced leader, Ana-Teresa leverages her scientific expertise of over 25 years and business acumen to drive expressTEC’s innovation and growth.

About Joana Xavier:
PhD in Human Genetics and ample experience in cancer genomics and the technology behind expressTEC’s products. Joana has an MSc in Human Biology and Environment, a PhD in Biomedical Sciences, speciality in Genetics and postdoctoral experience in cancer genomics. She has worked on ten different funded projects on rare and common diseases and led two of these projects. More recently, she has been enrolled in innovation and acceleration programs.
