How does technology interact with contemporary artistic creation? What can we expect from this relationship in the near future? How do artists include different technologies in their practices and through their work makes us reflect on their impact on society and world?

This are some of the questions we will attempt to tackle in this session. In partnership with PTW, BoCA – Biennial of Contemporary Arts proposes a reflection on Art & Technology, hosted by BoCA Biennial 2027 curator Claudia Galhós with the testimonies from Portuguese contemporary creators.
BoCA – Biennial of Contemporary Arts (www.bocabienal.org) is a non-profit cultural association founded in 2015 in Lisbon. It draws from a multi- and transdisciplinary programme with a clear commitment to the present and future of artistic creation. BoCA encourages critical reflection on the contemporary socio-cultural context, supporting innovative creative processes.
