Portugal’s Foodtech Scene: context, purpose and vision.
START-EAT-UP is the movement that connects the restaurants and other food-related businesses with the Portuguese foodtech ecosystem.
In our events, through a curated community of entrepreneurs, restaurateurs and professionals, we provide regular learning and networking opportunities for all the HORECA stakeholders.
This session is the first part of our Special Web Summit Edition (part two to happen later in the week, in another venue) and it will represent the ecosystem with the session: “Foodtech Landscape in Portugal: context, mission and vision”.
Nuno Fernandes, co-founder and CEO of DIG-IN (data provider for the f&b sector), presents the current shape of Portuguese foodtech and brings along expert guests to share their venture stories and future perspectives.
Host Speaker:
> Nuno Fernandes (DIG-IN)
Nuno is the creative and strategic Co-Founder & CEO of DIG-IN, the food-tech brand he successfully guided through its high-stakes management-buyout and rebranding from Zomato. Nuno’s career is defined by versatility and a true startup mindset. This diverse experience was forged during his 10-year progression within the Zomato/DIG-IN organization, where he rose from content and product roles (in both India and Portugal) to lead sales, marketing, and growth, ultimately proving his executive leadership as General Manager and now CEO. Before taking the helm at DIG-IN, he built his leadership skills in varied environments, including a key role as Sales Head at the startup Hole19. He recently co-founded START-EAT-UP, demonstrating his deep commitment to the HORECA market and the Portuguese Foodtech ecosystem.
