The 1st edition of the “FUTURE-TECH MEDIA ART FEST” festival, part of the Portugal Tech Week 2024 activities, aims to give a voice to students and new art makers, creating a platform to showcase works developed within the scope of the combination of “emerging technologies” in a near future.
We want to provide the opportunity to show new perspectives on the evolution of technology in society and its consequences.
We therefore invite artistic institutions, schools and individual artists to submit audio-visual works. With the aim of promoting diversity and creativity in art, we consider works regardless of their nationality, gender or age.
We are aiming to be the 1st media art festival to combine a human jury with an artificial intelligence jury, scoring and providing their knowledgeable analysis.
Short films about emergent technologies with a duration between 1 and 30 minutes. Followed by a record of the author explaining why they picked such technologies on a video or audio file (3 minutes maximum) besides a text about the narrative synopses and the technology explanation with the maximum of 50 words each and in English (narration or subtitles).
Documentaries about media art with a duration between
1 and 20 minutes.
Images about emergent technologies followed by narrative and described technology explanation each with 50 words.
